THE METROID SPECIES, THE SPACE PIRATES, AND THE PLANET ZEBES HAVE BEEN ERASED FROM THE UNIVERSE. The planet SR388 has been having strange ecological disturbances since the eradication of the Metroids by the greatest space hunter, Samus Aran. When she investigates the planet with a survey crew from Biologic Space Laboratories, a mysterious parasite named “X” infects her body and suit. Saved only by a vaccine made from the cells of the last infant Metroid, she is transformed into a new being - part human, part Metroid - the only being in the universe that can stop the threat of the “X”.
